PAST
Founded in 1953, IRUM is a company specialized in the construction of machines and equipment. Initially operating as a state-owned company, IRUM became a completely privately held company in 1999, with Maviprod as the main shareholder, dedicating itself mainly to the forestry industry, and in 2010 also adding the field of agricultural machinery. Some of the most important moments in the history of IRUM are:
- 2015 - The inauguration of the only Research and Development Center for agricultural and forestry machinery with Romanian capital in the country, IFOR;
- 2016 – Lansarea noului TAF 2012 G cu clește, un utilaj conceput în Centrul nostru de Cercetare și Dezvoltare;
- 2018 – Launch of the new Romanian tractor and the celebration of 65 years of activity at IRUM, as well as 25 years since the establishment of the MAVIPROD group of companies.
- 2020 - IRUM becomes the official dealer of PONSSE in Romania and at the same time launches the new range of IRUM TAG tractors, dedicated to family farms;
- 2021 - Launch of the newest forestry machinery, TAF 690 S5;
- 2022 - The introduction of the Romanian tractor with a new engine, TAGRO Stage V.
PRESENT
Based in Reghin, Mureș County, IRUM stands out for its activity and commitment to manufacturing Romanian products. The factory covers an area of 175,000 m², including its own Research and Development Center IFOR, production departments, administrative buildings, and other elements of infrastructure and superstructure designed to streamline its operations. On the other hand, IRUM has a well-established network of service and spare parts that is continuously expanded and developed to improve the quality of services provided. The range of products manufactured at IRUM currently includes articulated forestry tractors, agricultural tractors, cable cars, winches, and spare parts, but the factory also has a CNC machining center, foundry, heat treatment line, tool shop, welding workshop, painting shop, and service. Furthermore, IRUM is the producer of the only Romanian Agricultural Tractor. reviving this industry after 10 years of inactivity in Romania. Today, at almost 70 years of age, IRUM takes pride in having over 500 employees, with success being defined through their experience, skill, and hard work.

The main objectives for the development and modernization of the company:
– The development and modernization of manufacturing lines
– The process of renewing products and modernizing them
– The continuous increase in the quality level of products
– Timely achievement of the goal of manufacturing the equipment and reducing expenses;
– The development of personnel, through the organization of specialization training, establishment of reward systems
– Stimulating the staff involved in increasing productivity through salary increases – Specialized training and performance improvement for the staff
– Organizing promotional contests for both consumers and employees within the company to achieve the proposed objectives.
