Beyond AI: Capabilities Today, AGI on the Horizon

Artificial intelligence has rapidly moved from experimental technology to a practical tool shaping how we build software, solve problems, and make decisions. This presentation offers a concise introduction to today’s AI landscape, followed by a practical exploration of how AI is already enhancing development capabilities and workflows. In the second part, we look ahead to the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), discussing what the first steps toward AGI might look like and how they differ from current AI systems.

Ion Caza – Global AI Leader

How to Stay Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

As AI reshapes how we work and think, this keynote explores how to keep human judgment, creativity, and ethics at the center of technology adoption. Learn how to collaborate effectively with AI, make responsible decisions, and stay relevant, without losing what makes us human.

Batizan-Toth Gergo – Software Production & Platform Engineering Senior Manager

Modern data pipelines with AWS – Hands on Workshop

As data volumes and real-time processing needs continue to grow, modern data pipelines have become a critical foundation for scalable analytics and AI solutions. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the core concepts of building modern data pipelines on AWS, focusing on practical architectures and best practices. Through guided exercises, attendees will explore how data is ingested, processed, stored, and made available for analytics using common AWS services.

Thursday, May 7th – 16:00-20:00 – Accenture Lab (Room L25)

AI on the Edge

This presentation highlights how artificial intelligence can run directly on smart devices, enabling real-time data analysis and classification without relying on the cloud. Students will explore innovative applications such as an “electronic nose” for odor detection, an “electronic tongue” for taste classification, and acoustic systems capable of identifying animals in forests based on their sounds.

Luchiian Alexandru – Connectivity Specialist – Environment, Climate Change, Air quality, Impact Rater

Unlocking Factory Intelligence: AI-Driven Machine Integration for the Smart Factory

Modern manufacturing is under growing pressure to produce more, faster, and with higher quality. At the heart of this challenge lies a fundamental question: how do we turn raw machine data into actionable intelligence?

This presentation explores how AI can be leveraged across the full machine integration stack — from shopfloor connectivity to enterprise-level decision-making — drawing on real-world architecture and tooling developed in industrial environments.

Torok Peter – Autonomous Robotics Manager
